To be eligible to apply for the School direct route with us you will need the following:
Normally a first degree, or its equivalent with a minimum of 2:2 honours.
Three GCSEs at minimum grade C or above to include English language, mathematics and science (including biology, chemistry or physics). All successful applicants must have met this requirement by 31 July 2018.
Successful completion of the QTS skills test in literacy and numeracy before the start of the course.
A minimum UK 2:2 honours degree or recognised equivalent qualification depending on your chosen specialism, is required. All successful applicants must have met this requirement by 31 July 2018.
GCSE grade C or above in English Language and Mathematics or recognised equivalent qualifications. Applicants must have met this requirement by July 2018.

Candidates apply through UCAS and are shortlisted following reference to the entry requirements and if successful are invited for interview. Before applying we do advise you to spend some time in school to observe teaching in action.
Applications for School Direct will open on UCAS in 26th October 2017 for training commencing in September 2018. The Preston Teaching School Alliance, in partnership with The University of Cumbria, will review applications as they are received, therefore you are advised to submit your application as soon as possible.
